Are you selling badges this year? Yes, they are $35 and they're now on sale, right from this very page.
What shows will they get me into? A festival badge will get you into all of our shows, pending age restrictions and venue capacity.
Wait, you are guaranteeing us entry into every show? Almost. Some of our rooms are pretty small, but if you get there early enough you shouldn't have a problem with getting into most of the venues.
So, what restrictions are there? If you are under 21 you cannot get into any show at DC9 or the Red and the Black, regardless if you have a badge or not. But you can get into any show at the Rock and Roll Hotel, the Sixth & I Historic Synagogue, and the 9:30 Club.
Also, each badge needs to be linked to one specific person and is non-transferable. You can tell us who the badge's owner will be when you order or pick up the badge, and we will simply match your photo ID to your badge when you enter each venue.
Speaking of the 9:30 Club, you mean I can get into the Cat Power show with my badge? The 9:30 Club is allowing a limited amount of badge-holders in. Not everyone with a badge will be allowed in, in truth only about a third of them will. So if you absolutely really HAVE to see Cat Power, maybe you should buy a ticket to that show.
How will I get my badge? You can pick them up using your photo ID at our opening night party, Saturday October 6th at the Rock and Roll Hotel upstairs bar. Or you'll be able to pick them up the first day of the festival at DC9.
What if I lose my badge? If you lose your badge or damage it beyond repair (please avoid this), write info@damfestival.org as soon as possible and we'll see what we can do.
